Oz Big Bang is now open!

Five authors. Three hundred thousand words.

Eight artists. Twenty-six pieces of art and music.

Please remember to leave feedback for both the writers and artists.
Everyone worked so hard, and delivered amazing work.

The first annual OZ Big Bang is now yours to enjoy!

My story is Scar Tissue, which is a follow-up piece to my series Alvarez Gets Blindsided. However, it is not necessary to have read that series to read Scar Tissue.

83,700 words, baby!  Damn!  And it's not even the longest story on the site!

Don't forget to check out the excellent art for Scar Tissue by [info]neevebrody - here and [info]beechercreature - here!

Oh, and if you want to check out my first ever photoshopped graphic: you can find it here.

See ya there!

ETA:  Der...it's been open for most of a week now, but I forgot to mention it at Dreamwidth and Insane Journals, so I'm adding this post a bit late.  So if you want to see what's been occupying my time for the last three months or so...now's your chance.

Any masochistic betas/editors in the house?

Well...here we are, three weeks away from the Oz Big Bang deadline, and I have a problem.  Everyone I would normally give an Oz story to beta for me is already involved in Oz Big Bang as either a writer, artist or web designer - and two of them are Big Bang Mods as well.  And the crunch is on for all of them.  Not to brag, but I'm farther along in my project than anyone else I know of - my story is written.  Well, the artists just got their projects, so they have reason not to be any farther along, but that's not the point.  I currently have a LARGE story that needs a beta - and no Oz betas in sight.

What I need is a grammar, spelling, sentence structure kind of beta, because if I can get that stuff covered, one or more of my regular betas should have time to cover the Oz content.  The problem is the story is 81,000 words.  Okay, so I guess I should just call it like it is - that's a novel.  A short novel, but still.  A novel.  And it's due on Sept. 13th.  There may be a day or two wiggle room on that date, but I'm not counting on it.

There are two or three non-Oz people out there who I'd love to ask about this (you know who you are :::sends smooches your way:::), but I seriously don't want to put any pressure on anyone who might feel guilty for saying no.  So I'm just throwing it open - if you're interested, or know of someone who might be interested, please let me know.

So yeah...any crazy person wanna take my story on?  I'd be eternally grateful.  Really, I would.  I don't know what I could do about that, except maybe write you some fic or make an icon or a dozen, but still - my eternal gratitude would be yours.

:::blinks hopefully:::

An Oz fic written for me!

Okay, so I'm like really, really late with this, but I have a good excuse! I was mainlining my [info - livejournal.com] oz_big_bang fic, and I really didn't need the distractions. So I waited until I got the rough draft finished before I read the fic [info - livejournal.com] strawandrain wrote me, and I'm so glad I did, because it's so good... I would have had her characters stuck in my head for days, and I never would have gotten my story done.

Because yes, her fic is that good! I just love it. It's called Not for the Runners, and it needs to be read. So go read it. Now.

Why are you still here?

Okay, so maybe I should explain a bit about it. It was written for the Oz Free For All...remember that? Long, long time ago? I was glad to learn that I wasn't the only one who wrote her FFA story months after the fact. :::blushes::: But it was well worth the wait, I have to tell you.

I asked for: "A fic featuring Father Ray Mukada paired with either Miguel Alvarez, Ryan O'Reily or Chris Keller. Angst is fine, as long as there is lots of hot sex!"

And OMG, that's exactly what she gave me! Not for the Runners is Miguel Alvarez/Father Mukada, and it's hot and angsty and just everything I could have asked for. I am SO enamored of seductions, and Miguel's seduction of Ray Mukada just gave me all sorts of tingly feelings. :::swoons:::

It's incredibly hard for me to write in English, and it's my native language. I can't imagine how hard it is for [info - livejournal.com] strawandrain, but she did it very well. She gets into Miguel's confused and tortured brain and digs around and comes up with all this wonderful imagery, and I have to tell you, this story made my day.

:::smooches [info - livejournal.com] strawandrain:::

btw - I'm trying the crossposting thing, here, so if there's any confusion, please forgive me...I'll fix it as soon as possible.
